This year, we’re teaming up with Recycling Jackson, Jackson County Conservation District and other community groups to host a recycling drop-off event at the Jackson County Fairgrounds (200 W Ganson St., Jackson, MI 49201) on Saturday, Sept. 23 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For every appliance recycled, Consumers Energy will make a donation to Habitat For Humanity.

In addition, earn a rebate when you bring these eligible items and a copy of your Consumers Energy electric bill:

  • $50* rebate for refrigerators and freezers
  • $15* rebate for window A/Cs and dehumidifiers

Additional items to recycle (not eligible for rebate – do not have to be in working condition):

  • Electronics (Some exclusions apply. For more information visit RecyclingJackson.com.)
  • Scrap metal
  • Household hazardous waste

Volunteers will be on hand to help handle your recyclables. For more information about the Appliance Recycling program, visit ConsumersEnergy.com/recycle.

*Residential electric customers of Consumers Energy are eligible to receive a rebate for each operable appliance turned in.
