What do a greenhouse in Kalamazoo, a public school district in East Jackson and a rubber products company in Cadillac have in common? These Michigan businesses were all winners of our 2015 Energy Efficiency Project of the Year award. Did your business complete an energy efficiency project at your facility this year? We’re searching for 2016 Project of the Year winners and are seeking nominations from our business customers.
Project of the Year Program:
The Project of the Year award recognizes and publicizes businesses for their superior demonstration of an energy efficiency project. Nominated projects should show energy savings, innovation/use of a new technology, new use of an existing technology and/or repeatability. Three Project of the Year awards are recognized annually, one in each of the categories of Small Commercial, Large Commercial and Industrial. Each winning participant is awarded $15,000 and an additional $5,000 is awarded to the associated Trade Ally.
- Project may include any type of energy efficiency improvement, from any industry in public or private sectors.
- Customer must receive commercial electric and/or natural gas service from Consumers Energy.
- Project must be a Consumers Energy Business Energy Efficiency Program application, paid between October 1, 2015 and August 31, 2016.
