Michigan seniors represent an important customer group at Consumers Energy and the company is pleased to support seniors during Older Michiganians Day on Tuesday, June 4 at the State Capitol in Lansing.
Along with a rally on the Capitol steps, the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging and Consumers Energy will present two Senior Citizen of the Year awards for outstanding leadership and service. Activities start at 10:20 a.m. with a warm-up stretch, followed by the Senior Citizen of the Year award. At noon, Gov. Rick Snyder and Michigan legislators will speak on senior issues, with the day’s events scheduled to end at 1:30 p.m.
