Information Session Offers Details on Solar Energy Program

Interested in installing your own solar energy system? Here is your chance to learn more about it. On March 5 we will be hosting an information session in Saginaw for our electric customers. This free session will be held at Saginaw Valley State University from  5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Speakers at this event will provide information on how you can install your own solar energy system as part of our Experimental Advanced Renewable Program (EARP). You must make a reservation  by February 29 to attend this event.

In June 2011, we announced the completion of 102 projects contracted to provide approximately 2,000 kilowatts of solar generated capacity under the first 2 phases of our EARP pilot. On July 26, 2011, the Michigan Public Service Commission approved an expansion of the EARP. The expanded EARP is part of the Amended Renewable Energy Plan we prepared in accordance with Public Act 295 of 2008.
