Incentives for LED lighting are available in the 2011 energy efficiency incentives.

Consumers Energy Business Solutions has launched the 2011 Energy Efficiency application online so you can get your projects scheduled and reserve your incentive funds.

Now in its third year, the Consumers Energy Business Solutions program has paid out more than $20 million in incentive rebates to customers who have installed new energy-efficient equipment in their facilities. For 2011, the incentive budget has been increased so there is even more opportunity for you to participate in this popular program.

While incentives still are available for fluorescent lighting upgrades, we’ve added new incentives for Light-emitting Diode (LED) lamps, replacing incandescent lights, and installing new LED fixtures. Other new electric incentives include installing Electrically Commutated (EC) motors, replacing shaded pole or split capacitor motors in refrigeration applications (walk-in freezers or coolers, reach-in cabinets), LED lighting and occupancy sensor upgrades for refrigerated display cases, and energy-efficient exterior lighting.

Big changes are in store for the natural gas incentive program where we now offer incentive rebates on forced air furnaces or roof top units installed in commercial/industrial applications, door seals for truck loading docks, roof and wall insulation upgrades, along with specialty incentives for dry cleaner/laundry applications, greenhouses, and food service applications. Also, the large gas customer incentive limit is now determined on a per facility basis and that can mean more savings for companies with multiple large gas facilities.

Check out the new incentives and find all the ways your business can save energy and save money in 2011 and beyond.  We are accepting pre-notification applications now and final applications starting December 1.
